How In The Time Zone uses your browser's storage. Short version: the planner remembers what you set, only on your device; a meeting poll stores exactly what its voters typed, on our server, and deletes itself.
We save your chosen cities, home location, good-hours window, and display preferences (theme, 12/24-hour, meeting duration) in your browser's local storage, on this device. We also record that you dismissed the storage notice, and - if you use polls - your poll name, a random voter token, and the keys to polls you created, so your own links keep working.
No analytics or tracking cookies. No advertising. No third-party scripts. The planner runs entirely in your browser: nothing you enter in it is sent to a server, and your cities, people, and hours never leave your device.
Creating a voting link is the one explicit exception to "nothing leaves your device". A poll stores, on our server, exactly what it needs and nothing more: the proposed times, the meeting length, an optional title, and each voter's name with their yes / if-need-be / no answers. It is sent only when you press the button that creates a poll or the one that casts a vote.
A poll deletes itself, votes and all, 60 days after its last proposed time has passed, and its creator can delete it at any time from the poll page. The random voter token in your browser exists so you can revise your own vote from the same device; it is functional, never used for tracking, and never leaves your browser except inside the vote you chose to send (as a one-way hash on our side). Poll pages are excluded from search engines.
This storage is strictly necessary to provide the functionality you asked for - remembering your own setup, or running the poll you explicitly created or voted in - so under the EU ePrivacy Directive it does not require prior consent. This page and the on-page notice are provided purely for transparency.
You can remove everything on your device at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings (or your browser's “clear site data” for this domain). Server-side, delete a poll from its own page if you created it - or simply wait: expiry removes it for you.
